Roam with the Fishing Charters in Bath
Looking to escape the usual vacation routine and do something a little different in Bath, Maine? Come join us on the water, where our fishing charters in Bath are all about laid-back adventure, local knowledge, and good old-fashioned fun.
What Makes Fishing Around Bath So Unique?
The Kennebec River goes directly into the Gulf of Maine, mixing saltwater and freshwater. This mix attracts many types of fish. It's a prime spot for striped bass, mackerel, and more, especially during the summer months when the water warms up and the fish move in.
With Maintain Charters, you will explore the area like a local. Our fishing charters in Bath will take you to the sweet spots where the fish are biting and the scenery is unbeatable.
Avoid the Crowd and Experience a Peaceful Trip
Our trips are 100% private. That means no crowded boats or strict schedules. You tell us what you are looking for, family outing, beginner’s luck, or serious angler action, and we will build the trip around you.
Everything is included: rods, reels, tackle, bait, and expert guidance. We are especially great with families, couples, and small groups who want a friendly, relaxed vibe.
An Unexpected Side of Bath, Maine
Most visitors explore the historic downtown area with fishing charters in Bath or visit the shipyard museum. That’s great, but when you get on the water, you will see a completely different side of the town.
Bald eagles are soaring overhead. Seals are popping up near the boat. Ospreys dive for fish. There’s nothing quite like feeling that first tug on your line and knowing you are about to land something.
FAQs
What should we bring with us on the boat?
You don’t need much, but here are a few things we recommend: sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a light jacket (it can be breezy on the water), and any snacks or drinks you would like. If you plan to take photos, bring your phone or camera—just be sure it’s waterproof or protected. We have got the gear, the safety equipment, and the cooler. You bring the good vibes and any personal must-haves!
Are pets allowed on the boat?
In most cases, yes—well-behaved dogs are welcome on board! We know pets are part of the family, and we are happy to include them in your adventure. Just let us know ahead of time so we can plan for safety and comfort. Keep in mind that smaller dogs tend to do better on boats, and we do ask that your furry friend is leashed and calm around new sights, sounds, and people. Pets having water phobias are not allowed.
Is there a bathroom on the boat?
Yes! Our boat, Summer Girl, is equipped with a private marine head (toilet) located inside the center console. It’s clean, functional, and available for use on all trips.
